Cala D’Or is a busy tourist resort, located in the southeast coast of Mallorca. It is settled around little coves of white sand, where there are all necessary services, to enjoy a holidays by the sea. Most of the centre of Cala D’Or, is a pedestrians zone, with a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops.
The marina, probably the most emblematic area in Cala D’Or, is an ideal spot to go for a walk or to leave the time pass by, in some of the many terraces from bars and restaurants.
The nearest beach from the Ola Apartments Es Ravells D’Or is Cala Gran, in the centre of Cala D’Or, that’s why sometimes it can get quite crowded. At the back side there is a children playground, in addition to showers, public WC and a path for wheelchairs.
Nearby Cala D’Or there is the Vall D’Or golf course, some picturesque villages at the coast, like Porto Colom, Porto Petro or Cala Figuera, and the Cala Mondragó natural park, with some of the best beaches in Mallorca, like S’Amarador beach.
Cala D’Or buildings are inspired in the traditional architecture from Ibiza, with white houses covered by terraces. That is because Josep Costa Ferrer, the architect who initially designed the resort in the middle of the 20th century, was from Ibiza.
